Folding knives
These folding knives can also be called as "folding puukko" because of their blade form and Scandi grind. They utilize the structure of a butterfly knives (as the Finnish, Hackman and Fiskars made "CIA knives" of the 60'ies), but.
have several novel designs, which differ them from basic butterfly knives and other folding knives:
- The blade has a removable stopping plate, instead of a series of pins.
- Instead of a latch at the handle butt, the knife has an intruding "fin", to fit the handle parts together, and the knife keeps open and closed with hidden neodymium magnets.
- The designs mentioned above, make it possible to shape the knife more unique and streamlined.
- The sheath also has a strong magnet at the bottom, and is free or any lids or straps. Because of that, the sheath is much easier to use, and still totally secure. This I have tested by carrying and using one of these knives with me for several years.
Some of these knives are made for hard use, some more as "art knives" or collectables, as you probably can witness from the photos.
These knives are mostly one of a kind objects. I am constantly making some small design changes and experimenting with new materials and forms.
